 All the services you need,
all in one place - How it works.

Quality Training you can trust
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) requires that, for a First Aid at Work certification there must be face-to-face sessions to ensure competency in the practical skills.  However current guidelines also require providers to minimise face-to-face contact.

With this in mind, for the foreseeable future, we are delivering all our Open Courses (where individuals attend our locations) and all our Onsite Courses (unless specifically requested by a client and suitable risk assessment carried out) as a blended learning package.

To comply with HSE Guidelines this means that the course is split between
  • Part 1 - 3.5 hour theory session.  This is an online interactive theory session, utilising video clips, self-assessments, notes and fact-sheets.  This covers all the theoretical aspects of the course and must be completed in the 6 weeks prior to a half-day practical session. The online learning platform is conducted at your own pace, in your own time, enabling you to fit the study around your other commitments.  You may complete this course in a much shorter time frame or longer (depending on your previous skills and experience);

  • Part 2 - 3.5 hour (1/2 day) face-to-face practical session.  Utilising appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) throughout allows us to offer a safe learning environment.  By undertaking the theory within the 6 weeks preceding part 2, this enables any questions that have come up in the interim to be dealt with by one of our experienced instructors.  It also means that the focus of this class will then be on the practical elements of the course.
